Actually, just scales...
I currently have a cheap-o dial scale (reasonable facsimile pictured left) in my bathroom...not really using it because I have to squint to make out what the reading is...
On the plus side, it is frequently low in its measurements...so when I do decide to step on to get a quick midweek reading, it makes me think I'm kicking ass...
On the negative side, I actually get on the gym scale for my Monday reading and, while I haven't gone in the wrong direction, I still lose a little steam when I see less than expected results...
The bottom line...I'm in the market for a new scale. I would like it to be accurate and easy to read (digital). After that, I'm somewhat torn. I've seen some pretty cool Tanita scales that record your readings as well as measure things like body fat %, body water %, Daily Caloric Intake, and Basal Metabolism Rate...Anyone out there care to chime in on what features are important in a scale? Which scale do you use and would you recommend it?

Hi again! I am a college student, so I've got lots of time to check blogs during the day. hehe.
I'd love, love, LOVE to hear all about Vegas. I've been twice now (this will be my third trip) but I always come back saying, "I wish I had..." We're staying on the strip and will be walking every where, but I'd love to hear everything you have to say!
I use this scale:

It was an impulse buy at Walmart and not too expensive. It is cute because it tracks how much you gain/lose and it has a super big digital display for easy reading =)
I had a lot of posts about this last summer. I got a lot of good advice from my readers, so check my archives. I wound up staying with the scale I already had (a Tanita digital that reads in 1/2 lb. increments) but the majority of my readers liked the Weight Watchers digital scale best. It measures in 0.2 lb increments and does the body fat % thing. I think it's about $50 at Bed Bath and Beyond. You can try them out at that store, and I think at Linens N' Things too.
