Weigh In - Week 22



Slip sliding away...

BTW...that's a Polish road sign...who knew?

Jeebus...This now a fifth straight week with no weight loss...and a 1 lb weight gain to boot...

I'm now officially on the wrong side of my aggressive goal at 1.9 lbs average loss per week. Not too worried, but now I'm officially annoyed with my body...

The good: Worked out twice plus 185 pushups plus 2 bike rides. Food choices were good throughout the week...as for the weekend...well...

The bad: Had 7 bottles of beer on Friday night...Had a small ice cream from Merrymead (sounds like nothing, but it is very heavy)...Had a nice dinner out on Saturday, which was a mixed bag of good and bad I guess...

Maybe I need to go back to my Healthy Choices blog posts for some more focused attention on my food choices...Maybe the pushups are adding muscle which is keeping me from losing weight short term, but will help in the long term...Maybe my body is just telling me this is where I need to be (no wait...that's my Mom)...

Anyways, that's where I am...thank goodness I'm not participating in this weight loss race anymore...I'd be getting my butt whooped in that too!

Just wanted to say, "Keep up the good work and don't quit." I ran across your blog about a week ago and you have totally inspired me to get on my own weight loss program.

I restarted my blog this week and I too am recording my progress, diet choices, and musings. I have spent a lot of time on your blog going back in the achives getting caught up on your weight loss victories...and stories.

Thank you for sharing your life these past few months. You're truly an inspiration. As far as your stalled weight loss over the past couple of weeks, I read somewhere that it helps to totally change up your workouts (you may have to give up the beer, too.:)

Maybe you could down grade to some (shudder the thought) lite beer? :)

I'm sure that the push ups are what messed with your numbers for the week. Guns like that have got to come with a price right?!?!?!

You got your ass kicked by a girl AND you gained a pound? Wow. Sounds like a bad week to me...

Seriously, you'll figure it out I'm sure... you've done awesome so far... eventually your body (and you mom) will have to concede and let you drop the last few pounds.

I thought only us girls kept hearing our Mom's voice in our heads. As a Mom it's nice to know I have influence; As a child I wish my Mom would quiet down a bit;0)
Now, you still have 28 weeks for this...what...less than 10 lbs. You're doing amazing on the push-ups, exceeding your own goals. AND you're whining about 1 lb after 7 beers and other questionable food choices??? HELLO! - you want to be able to maintain this when you're done! Be glad you're body is telling you maintenance is possible WHILE still having a life.

I think your doing great. And I agree with what you said I am sure your weightloss has not happened due to muscle growth. I say hang in there, keep doing as you have been doing and you will be a big loser before you know it! lol
