Not giving away too much of the back story here, but I thought I would poll the general blog reading audience.
You can pretty much guess the fun "discussion" I had with my wife the other night...
I'll fill you in on more of the story later...and feel free to elaborate on your poll answer in the comments section. I fully expect to be lambasted by a certain section of my readership...

Seeing that I was a 31 year-old Father of Four (aged 6,6,4,10 mos. at the time) when I took a "Guys Only" trip to Vegas back in 2000... My vote is a resounding HECK YEAH! Have yourself a ball!
Just so long as you remember that The Wife deserves to get away from the ankle biter occasionally too.
I'll jump to the end of the story to let you know I'm not going on the trip...
...I explained to my wife that I would let her go on a similar trip, but her response is that she "would never put me in the situation I was putting her in."
BTW, I fully expect the poll and comments to split along the gender line... :)
I think that it is a wonderful idea to get away for a weekend with the guys. That being said of course, you will need to be sure that the Mrs. gets her time away as well - and believe me, she will probably never ask for it even though she will desparately need it. (Once we turn into Moms it is next to impossible for us to think of doing anything solely for us.)
From a woman's perspective, I think everyone needs to blow off some steam.
My husband is yes, with hesitance. He used to go out periodically because I'd force him to. He ended up coming home earlier and earlier because he says he missed us (AWWWW).
